Biog

Sheila Daniels had a background where music and entertainment was foremost. She was raised on the Hollywood Musicals of the 40’s & 50’s and loved singing as a child. Sheila grew up in Hampshire and moved to London when she was 19 in order to attend drama school at ‘Drama Studio London’ in Ealing, where her passion for singing, performing and entertainment grew. She late formed a band with with a very select crew of musicians and has been performing regular jazz nights in the west London area. Sheila has been frequently booked as entertainment for weddings, corporate events and private parties. Sheila then teamed up with a jazz pianist and worked many nights performing smooth dinner jazz in venues such as The Dome Brasserie in Kew, Sidolis Wine Bar in Mayfair and the Athenaeum Hotel on Piccadilly. During all this she managed to find the time to sing in a musical tribute show to George Gershwin at the the Fortune Theatre, Covent Garden, London and performed in the musical ‘Nine’ at the the Royal Festival Hall, London.

Sheila then took a break from her musical career to have her first child and soon after started her own internet business selling jewellery which she has been quite successful over the past 4 years. Fortunately Sheila has recently returned to singing - performing classic swing numbers with 'The Chosen Few' who are 17 piece jazz orchestra featuring musicians of a very high calibre.

The Music

Sheila was inspired by all the jazz musicians that have become remembered jazz greats such as: Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland and Sarah Vaughan. These influences are self evident when you hear her remarkable voice and wonderful interpretations of the great jazz standards. Her repertoire covers the standards of Gerswin, Cole Porter and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Her music is ideal for any party, corporate event or wedding.
